Coach is one of those brands that you never really used to think about, but now can’t get out of your head because it’s everywhere. And that’s a good thing, because the resurgence of Coach as the it-girl’s label is truly refreshing (thanks, Stuart Vevers and co.). Anyway, a few weeks ago, Coach’s team asked me to host their Coach 1941 Fall 2016 collection preview at West Edmonton Mall, to which my jaw dropped and I actually typed “OMG YESSS!!!” in my reply e-mail but later deleted.. because, you know, I’m professional and stuff.
Anyhow, it’s only been a day since the event and I already miss the food and wonderful staff who made this event so much fun. I mean, hey, if I could spend every day surrounded by beautiful clothing and fun folks while looking like a punky space cowgirl, I would. But, you know… here I am, alone, in my studio wearing pseudo-sweats because it was way too cold to get changed in the morning. But I digress. Coach is a brand that I’ve always felt so honoured and inspired to work with ever since painting my first Coach bag, so a huge thanks to them for helping me get dressed and trusting me not to eat all their appetizers. And, as always, thanks to everyone who popped by! Y’all are the best (so here’s a virtual high five).
And if you’re having serious FOMO (like I always do), keep on scrolling for more photos of the event and some snaps Eric took of me pretending to not be cold (oh, the struggle). But if you want the TL;DR, then all you need to know is that Lady and I were briefly a part of Coach’s window display. Cheers!
