I’ve been brainstorming a lot recently about my efforts to promote sustainability within fashion, and have come to the conclusion that I need to be doing more than just changing the way I shop. 10% of our world’s total carbon footprint comes from the fashion industry, and not enough people are aware that each purchase they make can either have a positive or negative impact on the world and the garment workers involved in the supply chain. We need to always be asking ourselves “who made our clothes?” and “how were they made?”. Because it’s only until we understand the impacts of our own choices, that we make that we can start to make a change.

This is why I’m proud to be wearing Coltrane—a swiss-based designer brand ethically designed and crafted in Switzerland. With clean and simple cuts in mind, Coltrane works with biodynamic and certified organic, natural fabrics in order to craft timeless, quality pieces that will last in your wardrobe for many, many years to come. So let’s make our own contribution to a less wasteful society and start investing in our clothing. After all, who said clothes should ever be disposable?
